Hippo ... I also wanted to point out something you may (or may not) have missed in the Chuckanut results. Because it was chip timed, they were able to rank everyone for each length between chip mats. You were about as consistent as possible. 1st - 125; 2nd - 126th; 3rd - 126th; total - 132nd. This is a good thing. I was holding back because I had a second race to go to. My rankings went 1st - 84th; 2nd - 81st; 3rd - 32nd (couldn't hold back any more).

Very interesting to me was Annie T. She doesn't much like trail running but is fast. 1st - 48th; 2nd - 48th; 3rd - 6th! The only people who ran faster than her on the road were the top 5 finishers ... and she came in 27th OA. Amazing!!

Hippo ... nice read (I read both of your posts - not realizing that you had a blog). Your CapPeak entry was great! I could feel your pain - wait, I was there - I actually did feel your pain. I know exactly what you meant when you were talking about the V cut trails that the bikes made. I HATE that part of the course. I was slated to run Mt Si 50M and then CapPeak 50M the following week. Found out my daughter has a track meet that same day and found it easy to bag that race ...
